The Job:
Your job as a Kennel staff members is to serve the animals in our facility. A day in the life of a kennel staff member is to come in, exercise dogs on the schedule, feed & medicate dogs, spray out and sanitize bays indoor and out, check in or out a client, and keep the kennels tidy and sanitized.
We are a small kennel with only 20 runs, so clients come to us for the personal touches we add to their pup's stay and communication we provide to them. We're located on site of Kiowa Creek Sporting Club - comfortability around shotguns/guns in general is a must given the clay course is on site.
This is not just a paycheck, our staff takes client dog care to heart and we aim to give every dog attention daily, get them out of the kennels daily, and ensure they are comfortable & loved, not just fed/watered. If you have the same mindset, we'd love to have you on the team!
Requirements:
A willingness to learn and adapt to situations quickly
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instruction is an absolute must
A positive and friendly attitude
Accountable and motivated to work unsupervised
Reliable transportation & cell phone
Nonsmoker (vapes/chew are fine)
Ability to use a computer/iPad (Homebase and KennelBooker are our main platforms)
Ability to physically walk for durations of up to 3hrs (slow pace) and be outdoors in heat/cold
Ability & willingness to scrape/spray out 💩, and be around the nitty gritty of keeping the kennel clean and tidy
Zero past record of animal abuse/neglect, and clean background check regarding any forms of abuse/neglect/violence
Passion regarding animal care and happiness - not just survival
Plus if you've used any form of training collars/mechanisms or have any dog handling experience or experience in a previous kennel setting
Schedule:
Start Date is Flexible
Hours per week: 10-12
Summer Schedule: 7a-1230pm or 1230p-5pm
Winter Schedule: y 8am-1230 or 1230-5pm
Pay:
$15-$7/hr starting - depending on previous experience and work ethic
Paid weekly via direct deposit (bank account required)
